There is over $5 billion in the Northern Australia Infrastructure Fund.
A good use of these funds would be to connect the railway line from Mount Isa in Queensland to Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.
This would allow a more direct rail access from Queensland to our most northern port.
To make it even better, a line between Charleville to Mount Isa via Longreach should be considered.
The line from Townsville to Mount Isa passes closely by some of our biggest mining resource regions.
