The road from Mt Isa to Three Ways (less than an hour north of Tennant) is a very good road; little traffic, generally flat, but few fuel stops - there is Barkly Station - and no cops.
Was sitting on about 110, saw dot in rear view, seconds later whoosh, then few seconds as black low slung car became a dot again.
Scary, with the wildlife there.
It's not a natural connection though - hence lack of traffic.
All the in and outs at Mt Isa come through Charters, and/or Townsville - little freight the other way - it's too far.
