MT SALT
The Mt Salt uranium prospect is located near
the Pilbara coast, immediately to the west of
the Balmoral South Project area.
During the year two consultants with
significant uranium experience were engaged
to develop and progress the exploration
strategy for this tenement. A strategy has
been developed and initial fieldwork, sample
analysis, evaluation and reporting has been
completed. Follow up lead isotope analysis
has been recommended.
Further exploration efforts will be defined
once results are assessed.
The Mt Salt tenement is also seen as a
potential host of calcrete resources for the
Sherlock Bay Nickel Project; and is believed
to contain significant areas of buried Banded
Iron Formation.
Further work will look at the value of pursuing
these potential resources.
