Unlike Lithium Redflow doesnt need to make giant R&D leaps to lower costs. It exists now on a production line, not a lab.
Unlike lithium, Redflow can quickly reduce costs through scaling up production.
Unlike lithium, Redflow is not at the mercy of the cyclical development of mines and increasing prices as demand outstrips supply of nickel.
IMO i think lithium battery prices falling by big amounts in the next 5 yrs is unlikely if the ev market is taking off......ev makers will keep any savings on the batts for their cars, i dont think it will get passed on to the storage market unless demand slackens.
Be great if they did put a quote into the WA tender, but given the Gen 3 hasnt been mass produced yet and tested as such the timeline might be a little tight.
