Pangang vaults into world top vanadium producer
It is reported that the expanding project for Panzhihua Iron & Steel Group's production lines of 7,000 tonnes of vanadous oxide and 8,000 tonnes of medium vanadium ferroalloy were completed and put into operation lately, turning the Sichuan based steel group into the world top vanadium products producer in terms of output, with annual production of 18,000 tonnes of vanadic oxide and 9,000 tonnes of ferrovanadium.

The technical-upgrade project was started from last Aug, with total cost of CNY 480 million. Meanwhile, the steel group also poured CNY 90 million in technical innovation in energy-saving, emission-reduction and environmental protection.

The project is estimated to bring sales revenue addition of CNY 820 million and profit addition of CNY 180 million.
