Whilst we wait for Swala (ourselves) to have anything to talk about, research, Partner DD and gaining an appreciation of the geography of our shared licences allows time to gain respect for our acreage, partners, and understanding of exactly what we may soon be able to call “lucky to hold”.

Further to my above posts, I have deciphered some more of my notes taken over the last long weekend. (trust me, there was pages of scribble, even I had trouble reading my own writing.)

    Tullows’ Approach:
I am continuing to find (and after a break revisited) information supporting the East Africa Rift System.
Looking closely at the recent successes of Tullow at Ngami and Twiga South. Confirming flow rates of in excess of 2800 bopd is encouraging to say the least.
Please take a look at pg 66 of this link:

    Other notes / Observations:
Tullow seems very receptive to wildcat drilling. I don’t know how they do it, but their success even with wildcats seems far above what I would call “Natural Expectations”. May the Oil Gods stay with them a little longer?
I would love to see a Wildcat drill in 12b announced for early next year (after our seismic completed ~September).

Tullow is discarding their UK, Dutch Southern North Sea Assets, in response to moving their focus towards EARS…..resulting from the SUCCESSES in their African Assets (including Kenya) – (pg 69 of same link above).
I believe this is a major development in the strategic focus of Tullow and Tullows commitment to the African region. A level of confidence: This strongly supports regional value.

    Long Term Rig Contracts -:
Tullow says - “We are tendering to secure long-term contracts for our land based East African Portfolio.”
When Tullow talks about Long Term, other contracts they have used this approach to targeted 5 years.
I can see great potential in having the ability, flexibility, efficiencies (cost and time) in this approach.

I was impressed with Tallow Corporate Responsibilities and regional profile. This can also be views here:

Who are we sleeping with (who is Tullow sleeping with) – Indirect leverage of information and experience:
Africa Oil, Marathon, Origin, Pan Continental, CNOOC, Petronas.

Of what I count to be 67 Licences that Tullow has throughout the entire African region (on and Offshore), our shared license, Licence 12b fits in at number 12 for acreage size, to say nothing of the potential position and recent very productive successes nearby.

    Now it’s time to relax.
