I wonder if the economists are crunching the numbers on the impact on comsumer sentiment caused by AMPs shareprice disaster. Lets see, how many shareholders does AMP have...a helluva lot I believe, and they have all just had their asset value badly hit over the last couple years. And then theres the funds holding AMP shares...a mighty dent in their asset values including people holding units in those funds.
I think the fallout from AMPs demise is going to be much greater than just a few 100 thousand investors who've lost money, although they are the ones obviously worst hit.
