Have you ever had to take a urine sample? They tell you not to take it from the start, or end, but the middle (mid stream). It’s the same with testing the DST string. There is the water cushion, formation fluids/gas and then muds pumped through to circulate it out. The sample circulated out of the DST tool is likely to be representative.
Sounds like you are learning, keep up the effort, you will get there eventually.
