I'm glad you used the word "alleged" apples, something like "young boy was allegedly struck by a car and was allegedly hurt", there were 50 witnesses to what occurred.
It's one of the most overused word you will hear in a news broadcast. So you have used this bandied about word in the right place, another word that can be used is "supposedly". maybe "rumoured" which is how I view the stock market, someone has rumoured to have information which sends a share price rocketing, what? no announcement by the company.
The copper and silver aspect could be right, the more houses that are built the more copper pipes, electrical wiring and brass taps will be fitted, aluminium is a metal we don't hear about that often but as an example of the previous the more window frames have to be made.
I think more of these copper producing companies can be looked at as well.
