Veritel is the company that has just signed a Heads of Agreement with WYT (ex-Quadtel), and they look like they are making progress on their wireless broadband plans. (see further down in the text where Unwired say they have signed Veritel - this is only the second channel partner after people telecom)

Unwired’s Sydney network now biggest of its kind globally
July 20, 2004: More than one million Sydney-siders can now access Unwired Australia’s
(ASX:UNW) wireless broadband – making it the world’s largest commercial non line-of-sight
broadband wireless access network in terms of coverage and capacity.
As of today, people in Parramatta, Granville, Guilford, North Rocks, West Pennant Hills, Castle
Hill and surrounding areas join other residents and small businesses in previously announced
areas in Sydney’s greater west able to access Unwired’s always on, high speed internet access.
Unwired’s Sydney network, already covering more than 700 square kilometres, is on track for
completion by the end of August.
Unwired has also signed a distribution partner deal with local carrier Veritel, further extending its
reach into the small business market. Veritel provides a wide range of business customers with
bundled communications services including mobile, DSL and wireless broadband and will
become a reseller of the Unwired service as of next month.
“This agreement is part of Unwired’s strategy to secure strong partnerships to bring our service to
market. Veritel’s focus on the small business segment and its high success rate will form an
important part of our market strategy,” said David Spence, Unwired’s Chief Executive.
“Initial customer feedback is also showing a high level of satisfaction in Unwired’s offering
because it’s very affordable, easy to install, simple to use and provides super fast internet access
without the need for a phone line – its portability will also allow it to be used across Sydney. This
puts us a in a strong position for launch,” he said.
According to Veritel Managing Director, Ivan Hurwitz, the agreement has strong benefits for both
companies and is also a reflection of the growing importance of wireless for business
    communications.
“Veritel has a strong distribution network servicing a broad spectrum of business customers
throughout Australia. With this agreement Veritel customers now have the opportunity to build
even more effective and creative solutions incorporating world-first wireless technology,” Mr
    Hurwitz said.
