His comments in late July 2005 prompted speculation that Futuris may not remain a diversified company indefinitely. In recent months, it has come under pressure to sell its automotive systems operation, Air International. However, Wozniczka claims the asset will not be divested until Futuris's performance has lifted. Meanwhile, speculation persists that Guinness Peat Group (GPG) is collecting Futuris stock, ahead of the potential separation of the target' core operations. However, GPG has refused to comment on whether it has built a stake in Futuris
