A very interesting book to read is "To big to fail" by Andrew Sorkin.
Gives a play by play account of what happened behind the scenes in Lehman Brothers, Treasury and others. Eg phone calls by CEO's like Fuld of Lehman, Hank Paulson, etc etc.
Reads like a novel, no opinions are expressed by the author just gives the conversations, attempted details Lehman tried to make and how the Treasury worked during the crisis.
One of the best books I have read.
