Are you sure about that, MM? I don't know much about Chinese culture, but they hold strong beliefs in luck and are pretty keen gamblers.
As a general observation, I think one of the problems for us as investors in company trading in another nation is cultural difference. For example, yesterday someone said that the myline website is pretty tacky; but to the chinese it may well be a very attractive site.
We need to be wary of looking at developments in china simply through our western eyes. Maybe the affluent don't buy too many lottery tickets here, but in in china in may be a different matter .... I don't know
