If the Greens and their fellow travellers succeed in convincing Australia to commit economic suicide by shutting down our oil, gas and coal, the world at large wont notice - pretend greenies like the IOUSA and Norway talk the talk but don't walk the walk - Germany used to trade cheap Russian Oil & Gas for manufactured good and hence maintain a strong trade balance and a strong Euro .... this days are over - now in dire economic trouble and importing LNG from IOUSA & elsewhere at x6 the cost, while their trade with Russia has evaporated .... with friends like the IOUSA who needs enemies ?? Australia should decarbonise and use as much "alternative energy" as possible (including nuclear) and keep exporting till overseas buyers stop buying and burning our oil, gas and coal ... surely thats reasonable an do-able ?? Also, our local manufacturing industry that relies on gas and oil (and coal for electricity) and fertiliser industry that helps feed the world, could be sustained ... or will we have to go down the Germany route and rely on expensive imports ... is Australia that stupid ?? Laughably, the Greens seem to have no trouble with the tourism generating huge amounts of CO2 .... been to a wedding in Bali lately ??
