I think incomes are higher in Melb than Qld generally. More competitive. I am currently enticing 2 x 30'ishs to come to Melb, for careers and property investment. I live toorak /south yarra area, 15 mins to city. beach,(not peak hour) walk to chapel st, tram, trains, save on travel time and costs. You might find some nice one bedrooms in nice areas in your price range. Have you used a personnell agency to find work, sus out the job market.
