Many Melbournians love the climate - it is one of the rare cities that has four distinct seasons (don't bother with the joke Ridge). The (current) Autumn is my favourite - winter is perhaps a tad too long but it's not severe and you can always escape for a few weeks if you have a job (ie you have some disposable income.)

Melbourne is a subtle city - it is extremely user friendly and is a great place to live. It is a lonnnnnnng way from the Gold Coast - in every respect.

My business is located in Thomastown. I wouldn't recommend the area for anything but relatively cheap accomodation,. If I was young - (and I am) - I would live in North Fitzroy, Richmond, Northcote or any other similar inner city area. I would also become a member of the Richmond Football club immediately.

I have no idea of what a cup and saucer is except that I always use both when drinking tea.
