don't forget if you hold your investment for more then 12month you have 50% discount for your tax as wll

say you bought 1 share at 1/6/10 @ $10
buy 1 more share at 1/1/11 @ $20

and you sell your 2 share at 30/6/11 @ $60

from the first share you make a profit of $20 and because you have hold your first share for more then 12month you only have to pay 50% tax ie $10 is tax free the other $10 you have to pay tax

as for the 2nd share you bought you have to pay full tax on the profit as you hold less then 12 month
