    I got it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak, the land tax office in WA
    here is the point about exemptions in changing houses

    you may well pay that amount which is more than 1.5 times the amount I quoted
    I quoted the figure on one million....you are talking about 1.6 million, a huge difference

    here are the rates... and correct as I quoted them

    you would need approx 5 properties with a land value of around 300k's each to get into that next bracket
    which means you would be holding about 3 million in market value of properties
    so $4000 is not an arm and a leg, in my view, in that context
    it is all horses for courses...
    if you are earning a higher amount than the average person, the costs rise accordingly...
