OK - at my desk and able to be more precise, plus show what would be a good estimate of exploration costs:

You will note the discovery cost for Australia in the table is $61US ($80 AUD) per ounce in Australia in Dec 2015.

MOYs 2016 exploration programme resulted in "Highly successful 2016 exploration program increases Ore Reserves for just A$87/oz".

Those values would seem to be pretty similar.  Doesn't seem to fit with Moriarty's comments.
