@Johnathonc I go back 50 years at Nullagine and held a lot of the ground now held by MOY. When Brian Rear set up the gold production operation most observers including myself did not think the resource base was robust enough or the grades were high enough but they proved us all wrong -they did a great job for many years notwithstanding always a struggle. But the fact is they produced gold for many years something Novo has never ever done in its entire existence. Glen Dovaston was the best MD they had and aggressively proved up resources in the Mosquito Creek succession few of us believed would exist.
When they got into sulphide ores and encountered metallurgical problems we did not need Bob Moriarty to tell us they had problems but I did think they would survive and prosper. Moriarty would not know gold if he fell over the stuff. MOY did not survive - by all accounts there has been a raft of management and technical issues. I hope and pray Novo do not end up with the MOY plant and tenements - but if they do I believe it will signal the demise of Novo or if not its demise it will be a costly lesson in trying to process Beatons Creek through that circuitry.
I am rather hoping some company will take on the entire shooting match and prove it can work -that there are more oxide resources and over time deep drilling will prove up more resources. The resources that MOY have are far superior to Beatons Creek .
As for Bob Moriarty if he is such a great bloke in your opinion why does he have to resort to blatant lies about my involvement with Beatons Creek. Next time you are talking to him tell him I am dying to meet him - I don't like liars.
