Next week Chinese markets are open again, so the US gold shorters will have a much harder time keeping the price of gold down. More importantly the next US election debate is Sunday night (monday morning our time).

During the first debate you could see the price of gold tanking due to Trump being ill prepared and floundering.

Since then Trump has been getting pointers from Nigel Farage (of Brexit fame). IMO if Trump is seen to be winning POG will most likely shoot upwards. Trump being favoured to win will have a much larger impact on POG than anything Yellen has to say.
