Sorry, I am a bit confused by your post. Adequan has PPS in it, so they must have some belief in it's abilities to perform. Past 60 years of veterinary use in Australia must mean something in knowledge known to vets. Sorry if I am misunderstanding you.
My note to Dr. Ramey has (hopefully) been delivered via facebook messaging. If he replies, I will of course post his comments. It looks like his life is on a Merry go Round, with many slots to fill in many different areas. (translation: He's a busy man!)
