Share prices don't either.
MQG pre-GFC and MQG post-GFC are completely different companies.
They weathered that deadly storm, mended the ship, changed course and are now an annuity company compared to their very lumpy earnings back then (it was either earn heaps of money or lose heaps of money - in other words, high risk high reward).
Now, they are a much more stable ship with annuity-like revenue streams.
People say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. In this case, MQG learned a big lesson and made really good changes. Happy to be on board this ship!
