There is no vaccine for any of the 7 discovered coronaviruses that can be transmitted to humans (one of which is sars) because funding was no longer there to support research. A vaccine will not take months because you have to go through trials. You're looking at least a year if they have found it already.

Because there has never been a vaccine for any of the viruses, there is the grim chance that there may not be an effective or safe vaccine. If thats the case, herd immunity is the best way and unfortunately that means 60% have to contract it.

This is all information I've read from reliable sources but could be misinformation as I'm not an expert. I'm with you guys in saying some countries numbers are very suspicious. I think the deaths is the only reliable statistic as there is no way to test everybody.
