Closer to home, the Big American’s real estate and infrastructure dealmakers have made it clear to the owners and advisers of up-for-sale data centre business AirTrunk – which could be worth as much as $15 billion on an enterprise value basis – that they’re interested in a deal.
Sources said Blackstone’s dealmakers have started meeting with investment banking teams regarding AirTrunk, while owners Macquarie Asset Management and PSP Investments sweat over how much of the $600 million-a-year business they want to sell and how.
