We dumped the lot, totally out in the nick of time it seems. Where are Macquarie's profits likely to improve?
What M&A is going to proceed when US policy changes from one day to the next? Renewables transformation? Asset Recycling? Local banking? It's already very competitive.
Maybe Macquarie's energy trading activity might improve. Maybe.
Just my personal opinion and very happy to be proven wrong as I still have indirect exposure. Things can change from one day to the next.
I'm still holding a portfolio of 20+ equities but recently have moved to 50%+ cash.
