Macquarie is still expecting to make a profit of about 1billion for last year. 40 percent of their Ebit is coming from businesses they didn't have 5 years ago? Why do you think it's under performing? they are painfully and slowly transforming their business....sure their share price is battered right now but think long term.......it will get back to 40ish for sure when markets rebound......also flick to their market announcements........Macquarie staff have raised their share of Macquarie from 5 in ,ay to around 9 in july........they did this at a price in the low 30's....
