Hi all,
Starting some research into MQG with a view to taking a position.
One thing I cant figure out that I am hoping you can help me with.
My understanding is that MQG performs asset management, banking and transaction services.
What I dont understand is why there are constantly announcements about taking/selling positions in various stocks. Do these trades relate to asset management for wealth management customers or are these positions taken with the banks own capital?
Put another way, are they trading to profit from capital gains or are they just pocketing brokerage/management fees?
Would appreciate it if someone can enlighten me!
