It's a marketing exercise when this happens. It's about aspirations, it's about working hard and building something for the future for all those poor and impoverished in Parramatta who one day aspire to own a fancy european car and a mansion. So the ALP drop some bloke called Dr Charlton into the seat so he can assimilate with his electorate. Surely they could have found someone better. Dr Charlton surely speaks the language of the west, the language of the people of Parramatta. He is one of them. Yet he's just spent sixteen million dollars on an abode somewhere else though.
I know you are all having a quiet chuckle about our good doctor. I am guessing a PhD is the reason he is a Doctor but I hope Maria Kovacic hands him some good medicine come Saturday. At least she would be grateful in making the commute from Parra to Canberra. They don't make the real ones like Hawkey anymore.
