re: partner1 using cfd's (i.e. 3% deposit...$30,000) would buy an exposure equivalent to $1m in stock and free up $970,000 cash for other uses (assuming the 40,000 shares were bought outright).
I bought an equivalent of 1000 BHP shares in cfd's last Friday (at $24.29)...tiny amount by comparison.
