Unfortunately for the past 200 years and if you note many items on HC, the mining act does not allow for such unfair, unfortunate or other person reasons (i think they should), but the law and the implementation of the law over the past 200years hasn't allowed it. And that is what most people are unset about. It should be what is fair and reasonable, but its not. There are many out there who wish it was, but it's not. Until they change the law a minister can't willy nilly rearrange it because he feels its unfair. You have to change the law first, otherwise all the past "unfair" decision will be inquestion. As unfair as it is everybody in the system knew where they stood. Its not the first time RIO has been late, and it wouldn't be the first time they have lost ground. They knew the call. That why they went "public interest", not ooops someone elses mistake. Thing is what was the "public interest"???????
