actually - 2.5 months (And Cormann's been away, too) is NOT that long - to wait - I've written varied letters to high level pollies, and public servants - over certain and vital community related issues - and not had a reply - sometimes for months - 3, or 4, even, over the years. He may have much more pressing and demanding priorities. Seems like quite nice, natural bloke. Not the sort to play silly games - or go back on a promised commitment.
