Yes, right, a share buyback, only to find out in 6 months that things havnt gone to plan and the company is short on cash right in the middle of a poor market and there goes the capital structure as its turned to smithereens with the next capital raising.
Buybacks you do when you are sitting on a heap of cash, thats burning a hole, with nothing to buy because its overvalued or you already own it and you are producing exceptional cashflow that you know with high probability will fund ongoing operations and more into the near future.
With buybacks you need that mentioned above AND an attractive shareprice. I see one of those variables missing considerable in the current scenario.
