The airline industry was in a mess long before the last two weeks.
Thanks to prompt action by PM Scott Morrison in early February 2020 in shutting international flights down from mainland communist China, many Australian lives have been saved.
Remember how Daniel Andrews in Victoria has decreed Melbourne's sixth lockdown, and how there have been 820 deaths in Victoria attributed to coronavirus? The longest Victorian lockdown was 111 or 112 days, and as I write we in Melbourne are still not allowed to travel more than five kilometres from home, and many businesses are closed.
Compared to Victoria, NSW has enjoyed many more months of social and economic freedoms.
