Wages are more dependent on company than they are industry, white collar mid and low level roles are relatively consistent in their pay where these roles differ heavily.You can either get paid 18 bucks an hour busting your ass for some tiny factory or budget airline or have an easy job standing around doing nothing for 30 or 40, there is zero logic to it.About half my wage comes from allowances and I've had years where I've earned more than the average yearly wage in overtime and apart from the fact it's mind-numbingly boring it's the easiest job I've ever had.
