- There are no words for the sheer naivety of this post.... Well maybe a few..... 2 billion dollar loss... Thousands of jobs lost due to restructuring.....No salary but options written.... Share buy back program over many years.....Profits squandered but who benefits? Then Covid 19. Another 6k jobs shed, but of greater concern is the amount of airframes parked in the desert or retired, never to return....Qantas is as dead in the water as any other airline...Not even the sheer “genius” of A can prevent the inevitable....This is the 100th year of Qantas....Not one for celebration...
