If the opinion polls are right the people have already lost faith in the coalition.
A Rudd led ALP has a 9% lead at this time which would produce a Labor landslide if carried into an election.
I must say as someone who supports neither of the major parties it is facinating to watch the naive and emotional support shown for them by some posters.
