I think new-generation energy and technology materials is ambiguous, as the "new generation" could be referring to either the "energy and technology" or the "materials"
I think he means the former "materials for new-generation energy and technology" which obviously refers to what we already know, we have large deposits of copper and zinc.
If he meant "new-generation materials" for energy and technology, then he is aware of something that the company has not yet disclosed or he plans takeovers that will deliver such materials.
