I could not agree more.... Given (1) both residential and employment locations have moved further away from the CBD as Sydney has grown (2) public transport JTW mode share is in constant declining (has been since 1976) (3) the average trip length has increased over time 13.7km in 1981 to 16.6km, whilst having the Marchetti's constant.... this only bodes well for the usage of car & hence adoption of driver-less cars.
Check out how compelling car as a mode choice already is.... a dominant sea of yellow!
