In most of the cases, if not in all cases, the IE reports only on what has been passed on to him/her by the BOD's.

Isn't that why ASIC has sent someone in Perth to investigate some of these so called Independent experts reports where it appears that some of the IE's have solely relied on information given to them by BOD's and not form their owe researches.??

For the life of me, I still can't work out the extent they went to in trying to downgrade everything, even asking the IE to review his report when it was obvious to them that their SoA was headed to the guillotine.

Time will tell if our IE is one of the one which will receive a visit from ASIC.
