Question's for the guys who have Mildura farming experience, - Given that MRG is currently harvesting, I would assume that operationally it is a very busy time of the year? - When do things quieten down to the point where if you were Thorney you would look to transition in a new CEO & Management team? - Is there any cross over in farming practices between Select Harvest and MRG? Are there people at SHV capable of fixing MRG? - Given that the CEO has not taken a pay cut, and simultaneously did not participate in the rights offering would it be fair to assume that the CEO's role is still on the chopping block? - Did the resignation of the CFO look like an attempt by CEO to destabilise the leadership to the point of giving her self more time in the CEO seat?
Alex Waislitz at Thorney is a very shrewd investor and definitely does not suffer fools lightly. If you look at his current portfolio you can see that a key investment metric for him is Return on Capital. A metric that MRG comps very poorly to at this moment and current management has no understanding of.
So, when does Thorney sack the CEO and Chairman? Assuming once the harvest is done? Who is the ideal candidate who has the skillset to fix MRG once and for all or break it up and sell of the pieces?
