Morning ,here’s an eye opener from Energy and Capital this morning.
Renewable March is definitely happening.
How much renewable energy has been added ?
510 gigawatts!

That’s how much renewable capacity was added to the global energy economy last year.

To put that in perspective, this is 50% more than what was added in 2022. That now puts total global renewable energy capacity at 3,700 gigawatts — or more than 30% of the world’s total energy mix.

But here’s the interesting part...

Under current policies and market conditions, global renewable energy capacity is now expected to reach 7,300 gigawatts in just four years, which would put renewable energy at more than 42% of the world’s total energy mix.
