mrn to bid for fairfax radio assets

Russell Tate has confirmed that it is likely MRN will bid for FXJ's radio assets.
There is also speculation that private equity will bid, however, running radio stations needs considerable experience, tenacity and vision, MRN has all of these qualities.
Radio is an industry that requires specific knowledge and understanding , I don't personally believe Private Equity will be able to achieve success with this type of business. You only need to look at CVC's purchase of Channel Nine to see the difficulties that lie ahead for inexperienced bidders.
