Yes you are being critical, and rightly so. All very well for a well paid public servant to make a statement like this. And not withstanding the fact that her predecessor totally misjudged the economic situation at the time thus encouraging young home buyers into a situation that is heartbreaking. Both these public servants are on high salaries and really have no bloody idea how bad things are for some people. I am older, still have a very small mortgage which is manageable But my heart goes out to the younger ones. Both highly paid public servants and pollies need to be more accountable. Perhaps a really big salary cut be made for lack of performance
