    To be historically correct here. Herodias (Herod's wife) conspired with Salome (her daughter) to ask Herod for John the Baptist's head on a plate. John had been making critical comments about Herod's female friends and this lead to his death at the instigation of these insulted and agrieved women. So here is your analogy with the Frazer-kork story.
