She completely ignores the recommendations of the Productivity Commission who have put forward their recommendations as to the best possible methods of the successful set-up and funding of such a scheme.

    HAhaha
She actually followed the Productivity commission recommendation.
Tony Abbott confirmed “We think that the best way forward is to follow the Productivity Commission's blueprint, and the Productivity Commission recommended that it should be funded out of general revenue,” he said

As Brisbane's lord mayor, Mr Newman opposed a flood levy to help Queenslanders, saying he would "prefer to cut or delay projects than raise rates to pay for the recovery".

"We don't want to have a flood levy," he said on February 8, 2011.

Yesterday, Mr Newman said he remained committed to a levy to raise funds for an NDIS and he believed the federal Opposition Leader would back his proposal.

But he said he was not prepared to "go it alone" on a Queensland disability support scheme funded through a new state-based levy
Gutless Newman happy for federal levy but unwilling to impliment a state levy. Just for the sake of playing political games.
