Australia is a multi racial society and most of these people have come to this country to work and assimilate to the best of their ability.
However Islam is not a "race" and Pauline Hanson is attempting to introduce a debate about whether these people, who follow and support the beliefs of a such a primitive system, are ever going to integrate satisfactorily into the Australian way of life. Most genuine Australians do not believe in polygamy, in forced marriage of children, in oppression of women, in genital mutilation of females, in deplorable treatment of some animals (eg dogs), or in barbaric behaviours such as the stoning of people for minor indiscretions such as homosexuality.
If you honestly believe that adherents of this system should be welcomed into our country, while your so called "red necked right wing ideologues" should be shipped out, then you yourself have a very warped sense of what is acceptable in this country.
