RFK Jnr is correct on corruption. To a point.
But it's possible to reach a correct conclusion and have poor methodology.
What worries me about RFK Jnr is the same thing that worries me about Trump.
Lack of consistency in methodology. RFK Jnr can't read a medical report to save himself.
There's a screw loose with that guy, make no mistake. Just because we might agree (and passionately so), with one or two of his conclusions, doesn't mean he isn't both unsuitable for the job but more worryingly, incapable of becoming so.
He's a nightmare on immunisation. Just because there was some rushed elements to the Covid19 vaccine process, doesn't mean all vaccines are bad.
This is a dangerous and false conclusion to reach. He's backtracked on this conclusion partially, but it's almost impossible to read him. He's damning with neglect so far, crucial elements of public health.
I don't for one second disagree that the system that favours big Pharma isn't corrupt. Clearly it has been. But the solution is not to make maverick decisions with a paranoid mind. IMO his father was assassinated for publicly stating he was going after corruption in general, and after the mafia in particular and then doing just that as Attorney-General. But that doesn't mean RFK Jnr knows how to go about this, because he plainly does not even have a clue how to read and comprehend medical reports. His knowledge about public health campaigns and the work of the CDU is dangerously deficient.
When you preside over disease outbreaks and do nothing, it's scary stuff.
My grandfather had polio. We are seeing diseases which had been almost entirely eliminated or at least, controlled, come back.
I won't even start on what has happened to the US role in international humanitarian work.
Big Pharma is often doing bad stuff, no disagreement from me on that. But is it always bad?
I agree RFK Jnr has his heart in the right place on stem cells and diet. MSB is likely to do well out of this. I have a few concerns but we're well-placed overall. He isn't directly involved in the approval process anyway. As just one symbolic move, he ate McDonalds on Air Force One so for consistency he's not so great.
You know I respect you and assume you will take this as an exploration of views.
