All good questions @Other - I would like SI to explain the financing objectives to shareholders. I'm not saying they should be repaid early - I'm saying shareholders should get this transparency . There's an obvious question as to why we pay 15% interest on loans when we have plenty of cash sitting in a bank account at much lower rates. I'm not saying pay off the debt - I'm saying explain why this financing is optimal to achieve our goals - whatever they may be.
I have urged SI in the past to make the corporate plans clear, especially objectives in terms of what we are maximising - EPS? Sales? Growth? Profit? ROE? This has never been paid out for shareholders, but is what professional management should do - at present it still looks like a scientific research company with very little restraint on spending and no solid idea of what it is trying to achieve.
Can you say that you know the answers to these questions?
