Who is "they"? The FDA wasnt responsible for manufacturing defects that lead to the cutter incident in the 50s. Not to mention Polio probably isnt the best anti-vaccination argument considering the Polio elimination program has decreased infections by 99%. 350,000 in 1988 to 33 in 2018. There would have been a lot more children with Polio than the 200 you are referencing.
